object body
Object Body is a brief direct animation film by Kelee Williamson-Hall. Created during a Mono No Aware workshop and showcased at MoMA in 2023, the filmmaker explores the concept of objectification, embracing it as a mode of existence. Crafted from found footage pornography, with scratching, bleaching, and hole-poking directly applied to the surface of 16mm film, the sequence delves into the body as a metaphorical hole—an aperture for narratives on vulnerability, agency, and vulgarity.
